Bruckneudorf (Hungarian: Királyhida ) is a large village with 2903 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Burgenland, which is geographically and historically the right over the border also grown part of the Lower Austrian town of Bruck an der Leitha. History

The village was like the rest of Burgenland to 1920/21 Hungary ( German West Hungary). Unlike other communities throughout lying on the border in the former German West Hungary Királyhida / Brück Neudorf had a relatively high proportion of the Hungarian population, but mainly consisted of customs and railway officials and soldiers. Because of its important role as one of the main border crossings Hungary toward Austria the Hungarian name Királyhida also included in the time when the area was inhabited mostly by Germans to the frequently used Hungarian place names in the area. The stop Bruck an der Leitha ÖBB stands today under this name in the Hungarian railway timetables. After the end of World War II German West Hungary was awarded in the Treaties of St. Germain and Trianon in 1919 Austria after tough negotiations. The municipality belongs since 1921 to the newly founded State of Burgenland (see also history of Burgenland ). The area was already inhabited in Roman times close to the training area, located at the " Wastes monastery", there was the Roman villa of the royal court - Deserted monastery, a few kilometers east of the present village is the Roman villa Bruckneudorf one of the most important villas find sites in eastern Austria.

In Kaiser Park is the only monument on Austrian federal territory showing Emperor Franz Joseph I as king of Hungary.
