Pueblo County, Colorado
Pueblo County is a county in the south of the U.S. state of Colorado. The administrative center is the city of Pueblo.
Geography
Pueblo County covers an area of 6,210 square kilometers. Of these, 0.38 percent, or 23 square miles of water. The area of Pueblo County is located on the western edge of the Great Plains, and is dominated by steppe.

According to the census of 2000, there were 141 472 people in the county. There were 54,579 households, and 37,332 families. The population density was 23 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was made up of 79.47 percent White, 1.90 percent Black or African American, 1.59 percent Native American, 0.65 percent Asian, 0.07 percent of residents from the Pacific Islander and 12.93 percent from other races groups; 3.38 percent were descended from two or more races. 37.97 percent of the total population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 54,579 households out of which 31.5 percent have children under the age of 18 living with them. 50.1 percent were married couples living together, 13.3 percent were single mothers. 31.6 percent were non-families. 26.6 percent of all households and 11.1 percent lived in people aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.04.
Based on the county the population was spread from 25.8 percent population under 18 years, 9.4 percent between 18 and 24 years, 27.2 percent between 25 and 44 years, 22.4 percent between 45 and 64 years and 15.2 percent were 65 years old or older. The average age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 95.8 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.5 males.
The median income for a household was $ 32,775, and the median income for a family was $ 40,130. Males have a median income of $ 31,514, women $ 22,967. The per capita income was $ 17,163. 14.9 percent of the population and 11.2 percent of families are below the poverty line. This included 19.7 percent of the population under the age of 18 and 8.7 percent of the population aged 65 and over.
