The San Miguel County is a county located in the state of Colorado of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Telluride.

Geography

The County in southwestern Colorado, on the west by Utah and has an area of ​​3337 square kilometers, of which 5 square kilometers is water area. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Montrose County, Ouray County, San Juan County (Colorado), Dolores County and San Juan County ( Utah).

San Miguel County was formed on February 27, 1883 from parts of Ouray County.
