Geographical Location

The town lies on the western Maindreieck between Ochsenfurt and Würzburg and is a well known Frankish wine village.

Geology

Randersacker was formerly in the center of the densest quarry region of Europe. The mined there until the mid 20th century Quaderkalk was formed about 220 million years as a deposit in the limestone sea of the " triad " said Mesozoic. History

Randersacker was first documented in 1123, but reported the Würzburg Mark Description of 14 October 779 much earlier via the boundary conditions Randers Ackers. As part of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg Randersacker fell in the secularisation of 1803 to Bavaria. In the Peace of Pressburg (1805 ) it came with the high pin area to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg, with which it fell back in 1814 to Bavaria. Structures

Balthasar Neumann gazebo

The well-proportioned pavilion was built by the great Baroque architect Johann Balthasar Neumann in 1750.
