René Hoppe

René Hoppe ( born December 9, 1976 in Oelsnitz / Vogtl. ) Is a German Bobsportler and sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr.

René Hoppe Sports soldier and starts for the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof. Since 2000, he serves on the bobs, which are controlled by André Lange. At the Olympic Winter Games 2002, he was not there. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, he could not come because of an old calf injury also; for him drew Alexander Roediger claimed in Long Team.

With Wolfgang Hoppe he is not related.

Achievements

  • At the World Championship 2000 in Altenberg, he won gold in the four-man event and silver in the two-man bob.
  • At the 2001 World Championships in St. Moritz, he won silver in the four-man event.
  • In the 2003 World Cup in Lake Placid, he won gold in four-man bobsleigh.
  • At the World Championship 2004 in Koenigssee, he won gold in four-man bobsleigh.
  • At the World Championship 2005 in Calgary, he won gold in four-man bobsleigh.
  • At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he won gold in four-man bobsleigh pilot Andre Lange.
