Rob Woodall

Robert " Rob" Woodall ( born February 11, 1970 in Athens, Georgia ) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Georgia in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Rob Woodall attended both private and public schools. Until 1988 he was at the Marist School in Atlanta. Then he studied until 1992 at Furman University in Greenville (South Carolina). This is followed by a law degree from the University of Georgia joined, which he finished after a break in 1998. Politically, Woodall joined the Republican Party. Between 1994 and 2010 he worked on the staff of Congressman John Linder.

In the congressional elections of 2010 he was a candidate of his party in the seventh constituency of the State of Georgia in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected, where he clearly defeating the Democrat Doug Heckman. He resigned on January 3, 2011 the successor of Linder; his present term of office runs until January 3, 2013.
