Roman Catholic Diocese of Lansing

The Diocese of Lansing (Latin: Dioecesis Lansingensis ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Lansing. It includes the nine counties of Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Hillsdale, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Shiawassee and Washtenaw Michigan State.

History

Pope Pius XI. founded it on 22 May 1937 cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Detroit, it was assumed as a suffragan. On 19 December 1970, it lost part of its territory to the Diocese of Kalamazoo.
