Rome–Cassino–Naples railway

The railway line Rome - Cassino - Naples was the first of the three existing railway lines between the capitals of the regions of Lazio and Campania, which was opened. The line is now completely electrified with 3 kV DC. The trunk is used after the opening of the high-speed line Rome-Naples mainly by regional trains, some trains them to connections to the Adriatic coast, as well as by night trains. History

The first part of the route was at the southern end opened between Napoli Cancello and Caserta on 20 December 1843 built by the Royal Neapolitan Railway and was the second stretch in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies by the railway line Naples - Portici in 1839.
