Ryan Bayda

Ryan Bayda ( born December 9, 1980 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in the Augsburger Panther in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

During the NHL Entry Draft 2000 Bayda was chosen as the 80th overall player in the third round by the Carolina Hurricanes. During the 2001/ 02 season, he ran for the first time the Hurricanes farm team, the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League. His NHL debut for Carolina he gave during the 2002/ 03 season.

On 3 July 2007, the Hurricanes Baydas contract extended by a year. This two-way contract Bayda brought 475,000 U.S. dollars. For playing in the AHL, he also received a further $ 100,000.

On 1 July 2008 his expiring contract was extended for another year. This earned him another 475,000 U.S. dollars.
