Sankt Gotthard im Mühlkreis

St. Gotthard in Mühlkreisautobahn is a municipality in the upper Upper Austria in the district of Urfahr in Upper Austria with 1271 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district Urfahr.

Geography

St. Gotthard in Mühlkreisautobahn situated at an altitude of 290 m above sea level. A. in the upper Upper Austria. The expansion is 5.0 kilometers from north to south and from west to east 5.0 km. The total area is 12 km ².

Districts are Eschelberg, Grasbach, Haselwies, Maierleiten, Mühlholz, Oberstraß, Rottenegg and St. Gotthard in Mühlkreisautobahn.

History

Source Population development: . Statistics Austria, census results, statistics on vital events, database POPREG on 1 January 2006, originally lying in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place belonged since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality of Austria above the Enns attributed. During the Napoleonic wars the place was occupied several times since then again in Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938 Upper Austria became the " Upper Danube ". After 1945, the province of Upper Austria was restored. In 1951 it was renamed the Municipality of St. Gotthard St. Gotthard in Mühlkreisautobahn.

Blazon: Of Red and Gold cleaved by a stake, which is occupied by silver and red split and with a geradarmigen Tatzenkreuz in reversed colors; both sides on green rocks per a crenellated tower, on the right a silver, left a red, perforated with two windows one above the other. The municipality colors are white - green.

Policy

The mayor is John Rechberger of the ÖVP. The council has 19 members (11 ÖVP, SPÖ 5, 2 FP, 1 U.S. list ).

  • Castle Eschelberg: Former into a Renaissance chateau advanced castle.
  • Castle ruins Rottenegg: The castle was first mentioned in the 13th century for the first time and is now privately owned.
