Sheridan County (North Dakota)

Sheridan County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is McClusky.

Geography

The County is located roughly at the geographical center of North Dakota and has an area of ​​2605 square kilometers, of which 88 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: McHenry County, Pierce County, Wells County, Kidder County, Burleigh County and McLean County.

History

Sheridan County was formed in 1873. It was named for Philip Henry Sheridan, a major general of the northern states during the American Civil War.
