Sichau is a town and a district of the Hanseatic City Guard Insert in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

Sichau is located about 19 kilometers north of Calvörde between the Colbitz - Letzlinger Heath and Drömling Nature Park. Besides Sichau the village also belong to the districts Siems and Tarnefitz.

The main colors of the coat of arms are - derived from the main crest motif (Powder Horn ) and shield color - red - gold ( yellow).

The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg Kommunalheraldiker Jörg Mantzsch.

Flag

The former flag is red - yellow (1:1) striped ( cross- shape: strips horizontally extending, longitudinal shape: strip running vertically ) and centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.
