Skanstull metro station
Skanstull is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro, which is close to the shopping street Gotgatan. It is located in the Södermalm district. The station is served by the Gröna linjen the Stockholm subway system. The central location in the city center makes the station to one of the most frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day rise to 24,000 commuters here.
The station was taken on October 1, 1933 under the name Ringvägen in operation, as the tram line was moved from here to Slussen in the newly built tunnel. Got its name, the station 1950. The Metro began operation on October 1, 1950, when the first Stockholm metro section was inaugurated between Slussen and Hökarängen. The platforms are located approximately 5 feet below the ground. The station is located between the stations Gullmarsplan and Medborgarplatsen. Stockholm Central Station is approximately three kilometers.
