Speech Synthesis Markup Language

SSML ( Speech Synthesis Markup Language) is a W3C standard based on XML markup language that has been extended with additional commands for voice output. In this way there is provided a standardized way, in certain aspects of the speech synthesis, such as To influence the volume, pitch or speech rate. SSML is often used in conjunction with VoiceXML.
