About the Album

The title " Stankonia " is derived from the word " stink ", which is the original meaning of the word " radio ". It is therefore on the one hand as an imaginary place, as well as the recording studio OutKast, which also bears this name, to be understood.

On the cover of the CD André and Big Boi are photographed standing in front of the flag of the United States. The flag has red instead of black stripes ( "The black and white Represents the deadness of America" - Andre 3000 ) and is a reference to the cover of the album There's a Riot Goin 'On by Sly & the Family Stone.
