Stehlovice

Stehlovice ( German Stechlowitz, formerly Stehlowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-west of Milevsko in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Pisek.

Geography

Stehlovice is located in the valley of the brook Jetětický creek, south of belonging to the Central Bohemian hills Milevská pahorkatina. To the north- east lies the pond Velky Prachovský fishpond. To the north Jirouškův raise vrch (552 m) and the Obora (570 m), in the southeastern Šlahoun (514 m ) southwest of the Vejrov (502 m) and in the northwest the Mladšiny (535 m) and the Skalice. By Stehlovice the railway line Tábor Pisek runs.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1306 as a possession of the Premonstratensian monastery Mühlhausen. The monastery was destroyed in 1420 by the Hussites, where all documents were lost. Then the Klingenberg castle count Jan Hájek of Hodětín slammed the orphaned monastic estates of royal rule Klingenberg. After in 1430 the Hussites besieged castle Klingenberg, pledged by King Sigismund the rule in 1431 to Ulrich von Rosenberg because he feared that his Burggraf Kunata Kapler would soon go over to the rebels. Henry V of Rosenberg gave in 1473 a quarter of the possessions of the house Rosenberg, among them, the Klingenberg Pawn, his cousin Bohuslav V. of Swan Mountain. In 1575 Christoph von Swan Mountain bought on Worlik from the reigns Klingenberg and Mühlhausen the Exchequer and combined this with Worlik. After the Battle of White Mountain, the estate of Peter of swan mountain was confiscated and 1621, the Eggenberger owner of the domain. After 1717 the Eggenberger extinguished in the male line, the Haus Schwarzenberg inherited their possessions. Until 1736, the reeve was responsible in Branice the Low jurisdiction. In 1840 Stehlowitz consisted of 24 houses with 237 inhabitants. Vicarage was Bernarditz. Until the mid- 19th century the village was always submissive as part of the rule Klingenberg to Fideikommissherrschaft Worlik including the Allodialgütern Zalužan, Zbenitz and Bukowan.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stehlovice / Stehlowitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district and in the judicial district Milevsko. The volunteer fire department was founded in 1886 on 20 November 1889, the railroad took Tábor - Milevsko - Pisek - Ražice the traffic on. ; However, the trains rolled past without stopping at the southern edge of Stehlovice, the nearest railway station was in Branice. In 1910, the village consisted of 32 houses and had 250 inhabitants. 1930 lived in 35 houses in the village 209 people, in 1940 there were 240 Stehlovice was connected to the electricity network in the fall of 1945. In the 1950s, the station Stehlovice was established. After the abolition of Okres Milevsko Branice was assigned to the Okres Pisek end of 1960. In 1964 the annexation to Branice. On 1 January 1993, Stehlovice broke again from Branice. In the years 1997 to 1998, a new fire station was built, in which the municipal office is housed. Due to rural exodus, the population is declining, currently living in the 50 houses of the community 105 people.
