Steven Crampton

Steven Crampton ( born April 12, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who last stood until 2011 at the Bossier - Shreveport Mudbugs in the Central Hockey League under contract.

Career

Steven Crampton began his career as a hockey player with the Moose Jaw Warriors, for by 2002 he was active from 1998 in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the eighth round as the 248th overall player of the Pittsburgh Penguins, for which, however, he never played. Instead, the winger ran from 2002 to 2005 for the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL on and 2005-2007 for their league rivals Las Vegas Wranglers. During his time in Las Vegas, he played eleven times in parallel for the Norfolk Admirals, Lowell Lock Monsters and Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

For the season 2007/ 08 Crampton was committed by the Lusatian foxes from the 2nd Hockey League. He then played a game each time for EfB Ishockey in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen and the SHC Fassa in the Italian Serie A1. In the season 2010/11 the Canadians won with the Bossier - Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League the Miron Cup, the championship of the CHL. Then the team was disbanded and Crampton has since been without a club.
