Su-ngai Kolok District

Amphoe Su- ngai Kolok ( Thai: อำเภอ สุ ไห ง โก - ลก ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Narathiwat. The Narathiwat province is located in the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from the southwest clockwise): Amphoe Waeng, Su- ngai Padi Tak Bai and Narathiwat province. To the southeast lies the state of Kelantan of Malaysia.

History

The Su- ngai Kolok Tambon was established on 1 July 1948 by the government, first as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the Su- ngai Kolok Tambon, Puyo and Amphoe Su- ngai Pasemat the Padi and Tambon Tak Bai Muno of Amphoe separated were. In 1953, she received the full Amphoe status.

Traffic

  • Network of the SRT ( State Railway of Thailand ): In the Amphoe Su- ngai Kolok is the terminus of the south line of Bangkok is the border with Malaysia.
