Talbot County (Maryland)
The Talbot County is a county located in the U.S. state of Maryland. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Easton.
Geography
The County is located on the Delmarva Peninsula on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay and has an area of 1,235 square kilometers; of which 536 square kilometers ( 46.4 percent) of water. It is bordered by the following counties:
History
The Talbot County was formed in 1661 from parts of Kent County. It was named after Grace, Lady Talbot, sister of Cæcilius Calvert, 2nd Baron Baltimore.
