Tanya Dubnicoff

Tanya Dubnicoff ( born November 7, 1969 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a former specializing in Track Cycling Canadian cyclist and current trainer.

Tanya Dubnicoff dreamed as a child of it to start at the Olympic Games. Before she started 18 years ago with the track cycling, she played ringette and was in the first Ringette World Championships in Canada in the national team. At age 12, she began to ride BMX racing and was Canadian champion in her age group; during their university time they played hockey.

By the Track Cycling Dubnicoff came finally to the Olympics, where she finished third in 2000 Sprint 1992 the sixth, eighth in 1996 and seventh place. At the Pan American Games in 1999 in her hometown of Winnipeg, she won two gold medals in the sprint and time trial.

1993 Tanya Dubnicoff world champion in sprint, and was the first Canadian woman who succeeded in that. Previously, she had won the prestigious Sprint Classic Grand Prix de Paris. 1999 at the Track World Championships in Berlin, she was third in the sprint. In addition, it was nine times Canadian champion.

Today Tanya Dubnicoff has worked as coach of the Canadian Track Cycling Team.
