Thong Saen Khan District

Amphoe Thong Saen Khan ( Thai อำเภอ ทอง แสน ขัน ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the southern province of Uttaradit. The Uttaradit Province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from the southwest clockwise): Amphoe the Phichai, Tron, Mueang Uttaradit, Tha Pla, Nam Pat the province of Uttaradit and Chat Trakan Wat Bot Province Phitsanulok.

History

Ban Hong was established on 1 July 1983 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ), consisting of four Tambon, which were split off from the circle Tron. On 21 May 1990, the sub-district received the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 45 villages ( Muban ).

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" ( TAO - administrative units ).
