Tobias Draxinger

Tobias Draxinger (born 3 January 1985 in Munich) is a German professional ice hockey player who plays for Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the 2011/12 season.

Career

Draxinger spent his time as a youth player at ERSC Ottobrunn, TSV Erding and the SB Rosenheim, in which he his first experience in the DNL collected from 2000. In 2002, the defender took part in a rookie camp of the Los Angeles Kings, in which he was not taken into account. After this experience, in North America the links Sagittarius returned to Rosenheim and had his first appearances in the Bavarian League.

After his time in Rosenheim Draxinger joined the 2003/04 season in the DEL for the polar bear Berlin. Until the 2006/07 season Draxinger was repeatedly used in the polar bear Juniors Berlin in the league, won the DEL team, however, three German championships and in 2008 the German Ice Hockey Cup. For the 2008/09 season he signed a contract with the Premier League rivals ERC Ingolstadt. After a season Draxinger Ingolstadt left again, after he had gotten especially under then coach Benoit Laporte little ice age. The defender of the Straubing Tigers joined them, also play in the DEL. For the 2011/12 season Draxinger was committed by the Augsburger Panther.

Internationally

International belonged Draxinger at the U18 World Cup in 2003 to the German squad. A year later, at the 2004 U20 World Cup, he managed with the German youth team promotion to the A- group of the World Cup. In 2005 he again took part in the U20 World Championship before he was first used in 2007 at a Senior World Championship.
