Tosterglope
Tosterglope is a municipality in the district of Lüneburg, in Lower Saxony. It belongs to the Samtgemeinde Dahl castle, which has its administrative headquarters in spots Dahl castle.

Tosterglope is located in the Natural Park of the Elbe Valley.

History
The village was first mentioned in 1330 as Toregelop documented.
Territorial reform
On March 1, 1974, the formerly independent communities Tosterglope and Ventschau were merged to the municipality Tosterglope.
Policy
The municipality belongs to the Tosterglope Parliament constituency Elbe and the Bundestag constituency Lüchow -Dannenberg - Lüneburg.

The municipal council of Tosterglope consists of four council women and 5 councilmen.

Coat of arms
Blazon: "In a silver by a semi-circular curved upward stream transversely divided green escutcheon above three golden plowshares, down a golden boulder. "
The three shares are available for the large rural districts Tosterglope, Köhlingen and Good Horndorf. The boulder represents the district Ventschau. Such is indeed to be found there. The creek is the Barnbeker Bach, the Ventschau separates from the other districts.
