Geography

Geographical Location

The community is located 12 kilometers north of Würzburg.

Community structure

Unterpleichfeld divided into four districts:

  • Unterpleichfeld
  • Castle Grumbach
  • Hilpert Hausen
  • Rupprecht Hausen

There are districts: castle Grumbach, Hilpert Hausen and Unterpleichfeld.

History

As part of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg ( Civil Hospital ), which belonged to the Frankish Empire Circle, Unterpleichfeld was secularized in 1803 in Bavaria's favor, then the Peace of Pressburg (1805 ) Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany left to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg, with which it finally fell to Bavaria in 1814.

Incorporations

On 1 January 1972 the then independent municipality Hilpert Hausen was incorporated. On 1 July 1972, added castle Grumbach.

Culture and sights

Economy, agriculture and forestry

Long Unterpleichfeld was also known by its three sauerkraut factories, of which only one exists.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 10, 62 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 44 persons work at the workplace.
