Vester Marie is a small village with 244 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) on the Danish Baltic Sea island of Bornholm. Vestermarie located about nine kilometers east of Rønne and about eight kilometers northwest of Aakirkeby.

Bornholm Marie had two churches in the Middle Ages. To distinguish them, the Western Church Vestermarie Kirke and the eastern Østermarie Kirke was called. Both gave the surrounding villages their names: Vestermarie and Østermarie.

The village is located in the same parish Vestermarie ( Vestermarie Sogn ), which belonged to the Office Harde Vester Herred in the former Bornholm to 1970. With the dissolution of the hardware structure of the parish was included in the municipality Aakirkeby, the Commune in turn went to a referendum on 1 January 2003 with other municipalities in the region Bornholm municipality. Between 2003 and 2007 this was acyclic, since 1 January 2007, it is part of the Capital Region.
