Villers-Buzon

Villers- Buzon is a commune in the French department Doubs in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Villers- Buzon situated at an altitude of 240 m above sea level, about 13 km west of the city of Besançon (air line). The village is located in the gently undulating countryside between the rivers of Doubs in the south and Ognon in the north, in the valley of the Ruisseau de Corcondray.

The area of ​​3.19 km ² municipal area includes a section south of the Ognon. The area is slightly undulating and mainly consisted of arable and meadow land; Forest areas, there are few. History

The municipality of Villers- Buzon was already inhabited in Gallo- Roman times, which could be detected using various archaeological finds. Is first mentioned Villers- Buzon in the year 1096. During the Middle Ages the village belonged to the rule Corcondray. Together with the Franche -Comté reached Villers- Buzon with the Peace of Nijmegen in 1678 definitively to France. Attractions

The village church of Villers- Buzon initially reported by the early 17th century back, but the ship and the vestry were rebuilt in the 18th century.
