Vulture (region)

The Vulture area is located in the province of Potenza, in the northwestern part of Basilicata ( Southern Italy) region. The area consists of the municipalities Atella, Barile, Ginestra, Melfi, Rapolla, Ripacandida, Rionero together in Vulture, Maschito, Venosa, Ruvo del Monte, and San Fele Rapolla. Landmark and is named after the visible from a distance Mount Vulture (1326 m), a long- extinct volcano.
