Werder, Parchim

Werder is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Eldenburg Lübz with headquarters in the city Lübz.

Geography and transport

The municipality is bordered to the south directly to Lübz. The highest point is in the north of Sandberg 85.8 m above sea level. HN. In the north and the forest area is Sehlsdorfer firs. Another smaller forest area is the Birkmoor north of the village Werder. Larger lakes and rivers do not exist in the community. North of the village is located about twelve miles away, the city Goldberg.

History

In 1997, Werder has been voted the most beautiful church of the existing county until 2011 Parchim.

  • Village Ensemble
  • Late Romanesque village church in Benthen of 1250 (consecrated in 1267 ) with the typical graduation from flat-roofed nave and the choir collected from field stone vaults. The west tower with a pyramidal roof consists of a field stone base, otherwise in brick.
