Yamparáez is a province in the northwestern part of the department of Chuquisaca in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

The province is one of the ten provinces in the department of Chuquisaca. It is bordered to the west by the Province Oropeza, to the south by the Potosí Department, and to the east and north by the province Jaime Zudañez.

The province extends approximately between 18 ° 51 'and 19 ° 23' south latitude and 64 ° 43 ' and 65 ° 12' west longitude, its extent from east to west is 50 kilometers from north to south, 55 km.

Population

The population of the province Yamparáez has declined in the past two decades by about 15 percent:
