Zázrivá

Zázrivá (Hungarian ZAZRIVA ) is a municipality in the north of Slovakia. It lies in the valley of the brook in the mountains Zázrivka Kysucká highlands at the foot of the Lesser Fatra, approximately 20 km from Dolny Kubin and 35 km from Zilina away.

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1555 and grew out of a Wallachian logging town. Due to the division into many small hamlets, the municipality is divided in addition to the main town ( " Zázrivá - Stred " ) in the settlements Biela, Demkovská, Dolina, Grune, Havrania, Končitá, Kozinska, Petrová, Plesiva and Ráztoky.
