Zdeněk Kutlák

Zdeněk Kutlák ( born February 13, 1980 in České Budějovice, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Davos in the National League A since 2013.

Career

Zdeněk Kutlák began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the HC České Budějovice, for the first team, he was active in the Extraliga 1998-2000. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the eighth round as the 237th overall player of the Boston Bruins. For Boston's farm team Providence Bruins, he played from 2000 to 2004 regularly in the American Hockey League. In parallel, he was occasionally used by the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League, but he could not prevail there permanently. In 16 NHL games, he scored a goal and two assists. For the season 2004 /05 the defender therefore returned to his Czech homeland, where he received a contract with HC Energie Karlovy Vary. From 2005 to 2007, he again played for his hometown club HC České Budějovice. For the season 2007/ 08, the Czech was obliged by HC Ambri -Piotta from the Swiss National League A. With Ambri he succeeded in the first five years in each case only in the relegation relegation.

Internationally

For Kutlák Czech Republic took part in the junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1998 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2000. At the 2000 U20 World Championships he won the gold medal with his country.

In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 2006 and 2012 and in the years 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2012, at the Euro Hockey Tour. At the 2006 World Championships, he won the silver, the bronze medal at the 2012 World Cup.
