1928–29 Austrian football championship

The Austrian Football Championship 1928/29, was hosted by the club WFV and disputed by its members. As a base for I. League served the single-track II league. These leagues were only available to professional football clubs. In addition, national championships were oriented in different modes on amateur basis of other federal land associations. The respective amateur national champion then also played at the Amateur Championship from a Master.

Country leagues

  • In Lower Austria, no separate national championship took place. The strongest Lower Austrian clubs played with the reserve teams of first-class Viennese Professional Associations a Mixed Championship in two regional scales. The respective top-ranked clubs in the province two seasons played after a final of the Lower Austrian Championship title.
