1960 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The Volleyball World Championship for Men 1960 was held from October 28 to November 11 in Brazil instead. The Soviet Union won the title for the third time. The matches were played Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, Resende, Santo Andre, Santos, São Paulo and Belo.
Mode
The fourteen participants played in the preliminary round in a two-man and four groups of three. The top two teams in each group determined in the final group the World Champion, and the results of the direct duels were incorporated into the final round. The remaining teams played to the ranks of seven to fourteen.
