1972 Úrvalsdeild
The Icelandic football championship in 1972 was the 61st season of the highest Icelandic Football League. The League began on 28 May in 1972 and ended with the last games on September 23, 1972.
It was attended by eight teams in the championship, which was held in a simple round-trip round. Fram Reykjavík could for the first time in a decade to win the championship, promoted Víkingur Reykjavík not make it in the league.
