1982–83 Yugoslav Ice Hockey League season

The 1982/83 season was the 41st season of the Yugoslav Hockey League, the highest Yugoslav Hockey League. Master became the total twelfth time in club history the HK Olimpija Ljubljana.

Mode

In the main round each of the seven teams completed a total of twelve games. The top four teams in the main round qualified for the final round, the top two teams again qualified for the championship final. The other three main rounds teams denied a placement round to place fifth According to their main placement round the teams for the second season phase between one and four bonus points received. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
