1982 UEFA European Under-18 Championship
The second U-18 Football Championship was held in the period from 21 to 30 May 1982 in Finland. Winner Scotland was a 3-1 victory over Czechoslovakia. Defending champions Germany as well as Austria different from in the preliminary round, Switzerland as well as the GDR could not qualify.

Mode
The 16 qualified teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. Within the groups played each team once against each other. The group winners qualified for the semifinals. The semi-final winners reached the finals, the loser of the semi-finals played for third place.

Scotland for the first time U-18 European Football Championships. In addition to Scotland, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia qualified for the Junior World Cup in 1983.
