2000–01 ISL season
The 2000/01 season was the fifth season of the Ice Hockey Super League, the highest British Hockey League. British Champion were the Sheffield Steelers who prevailed in the playoffs. Master of the regular season were also the Sheffield Steelers.

Mode
In the regular season, each of the nine teams completed a total of 48 games. The winner was Master of the regular season. The top eight teams qualified for the play-off second round in which they were divided according to their placement in the regular season in two groups of four teams each. There, the teams met against each group opponent in return game, after which the top two teams in each group qualified for the play-off semi-finals. The playoff winner was British Champion. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points for a win after overtime two points for a defeat after overtime and a point for one defeat after regular time zero points.
