2002–03 NOFV-Oberliga
The season 2002/03 Oberliga Nordost was the twelfth season of the Football Oberliga Nordost and the ninth as the fourth- highest league in Germany. Analogously to the previous season 2001/ 02 was the ascent control with two relegation matches between the two relay winners for the determination of a climber in the Regionalliga. From the North- season but only two teams were relegated to the national league, what with three climbers led from the national leagues to an enlargement of the season on 19 teams in the preseason. The alignment to the continuing 18 teams from South Season therefore 2002/ 03 four relegated from the north with only three losers from the southern squadron were provided. However, because of the simultaneous descent of the 2002/ 03 antretenden in the regional SV Babelsberg alignment took place after the 2003/ 04 Serie A season.

Season North
In the North Season of FC Schönberg reached the season victory in front of the Zweitvertetungen Hertha BSC and Hansa Rostock. From last year's rising stars, only the TSG Neustrelitz while the other climbers as well as Eintracht Schwerin and the resulting first start of the season from a merger of the clubs Lok Altmark Stendal and 1 FC 1 FC Lok Stendal Stendal was able to establish in the North Season, descended into the Association leagues. This Stendal was due to irregularities in the fusion process at an early stage relegated fixed, finished the season with a 16th place in the standings but also sporting a relegation place.

Season South
In the season of the South FC Sachsen Leipzig reached the season victory against FC Carl Zeiss Jena. The first FC Magdeburg played as last year's relegated from the Regional no role in the promotion race and finished on the end of the season only the tenth place in the table. Year - Anhalt Dessau climber was deducted four points for the end of the season because of the use of a non-playing legitimate actor. The league reached Dessau still like the other climbers from VfB Pössneck and FV Dresden 06

Rise Games for Regional
The relegation matches between the winners of the North and the South Season denied the FC Schönberg 95 and FC Sachsen Leipzig. Although Schoenberg had scored the most goals of all Northeast league teams during the season, Leipzig won the play-offs with two wins without conceding a goal, and rose to the Regionalliga. The first leg on June 8, 2003 in Schönberg was 2-0, won the return match on June 16 in front of 13,106 spectators at the Alfred - Kunze- Sportpark 1-0. Two years later, in 2004 / 05, Schoenberg even got down in the national league, while Leipzig established itself in the premier league after a prompt return descent in the 2003/ 04 Regional League season.
