2007 UEFA European Under-17 Championship
The 25 U-17 Football Championship was held in Belgium from 2 to 13 May 2007. Germany was able to re- qualify for the finals and finished fifth. The defending champion Russia and the Czech Republic final opponents could not qualify. The title won for the seventh time overall Spain with a 1-0 victory in the final against England.

Qualification
The qualifying was attended by 48 nations. These were divided into 12 groups of 4 nations. Each team had to play against all other group member once. Mini-tournaments were held at one venue. Places 1 and 2 of the groups reach the elite round or 2nd Qualifakationsrunde. Belgium was to host the European Championship already qualified.
Mode
The eight teams were divided into two groups of four teams each. Within the groups played each team once against each other. The group winners and runners reach the semifinals. The semi-final winners in the final. The first five teams qualified for the U-17 World Cup in South Korea.
