2009 Indian Premier League

The Indian Premier League 2009 was the second season of the discharged in the Twenty20 format competition for Indian cricket team and took place between 18 April and 24 May 2009. Due to the general election in India, the tournament was moved to South Africa. Winners were the Deccan Chargers, who were able to prevail in the final in Johannesburg with 6 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
