2010 Women's Baseball World Cup
The Baseball World Women's Championship in 2010 was the fourth edition of this baseball competition for women and was held from 12 to August 22, 2010 in Caracas instead. After an incident on the second day in which a player was shot in Hong Kong, all the games were moved to Maracay. The team from Hong Kong withdrew from the tournament. (see also: Hong Kong participants ). At the tournament participated a total of eleven teams.
The opening ceremony took place on 12 August 2010 at 18:30 clock at the Estadio José A. Casanova in Caracas instead.
The title took the team from Japan and were able to defend their title from last year.

Referee
The referee came mostly from Venezuela, except for the Netherlands and Japan, however, each participating nation had sent an arbitrator to Caracas.
Preliminary round
The top three teams from each group qualified for the group C of the second round, the other teams for group D.

Second round
The four best -placed teams in Group C will qualify for the semi-finals, the places 5 and 6 play in the match for 5th place against each other.
In Group D, the seats are earned for the games to accommodate 7 and 9.
The results against the teams from the preliminary round groups will be taken in the second round. In case of equality the direct encounter decides.
