2011–12 Slovenian Cup

The cup Slovenije 2011/12 was the 21st edition of the Slovenian football cup competition of the men and was won by NK Maribor by a final victory against NK Celje. The defending champion was NK Domžale and retired in the second round of.

As Maribor was already qualified on the Slovenian League for the UEFA Champions League 2012/13, Celje started in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

Tournament schedule

First round

The matches of the first round took place on August 23 and 24, 2011. ND Adriatic and NK Šentjur automatically qualified for the knockout stages, as their opponents (NK Drava Ptuj and NK Primorje ) both could not participate in the competition due to bankruptcy or dissolution of the Association.

Second round

The matches of the knockout round were played on 6 and 14 September and 8 October 2011.

Quarterfinals

The first legs of the quarter-finals were held on 18th, 19th and October 26, 2011 instead of the return legs on 25 and 26 October and on 16 November 2011.

Semifinal

The first legs of the semi-finals were held on April 11, 2012, the return legs on April 18, 2012.

Final

The final took place on 23 May 2012 at 20:45 in Stožice stadium in Ljubljana instead.
