2012 AIHL season
The 2012 season was the twelfth season of the Australian Ice Hockey League, the highest Australian Hockey League. Masters were for the third time in club history the Melbourne Ice.

Mode
In the regular season, each of the nine teams completed a total of 24 games, the league was divided into two Conferences. The Bauer Conference had four teams with a participant less than the Easton Conference. The top two teams from each conference qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points for a win after overtime two points for a defeat after overtime and a point for one defeat after regular time zero points.
