The Canberra Knights are a semi-professional Australian Hockey Club of Canberra, which was founded in 1981 and plays in the Australian Ice Hockey League.

History

In 1981, the Canberra Knights were founded by former hockey players after the Phillip Swimming & Ice Skating Centre was opened a year earlier. The Canberra Knights in 1982 were one of the founding members of the New South Wales Super League, in which they played intermittently until its dissolution. The team from the capital joined the 1994 East Coast Super League, which they won for the first and only time in 1998.

Together with the Sydney Bears and Adelaide Avalanche founded the Knights 2000, the Australian Ice Hockey League. Since the league's expansion in 2002, the Knights finished the season as one of the most worst teams in the table.
