The Autostrada A2 or A2 Autostradë (Albanian for, highway A2 ') connects the town with the port city of Vlora Levan. It is part of the Pan-European Transport Corridor VIII

Route

The A2 is currently beginning south of Levan and crossed shortly after the river Vjosa. It runs west of SH 8 parallel to this, and currently ends at the city limits of Vlora.

Progress

The highway has already been opened on 20 March 2011/2 -sided ( two lanes ) for transport to the SH to relieve 8. Then took place on 27 July 2012, the opening to traffic of the entire route as a four-lane highway.

Construction costs

The total construction cost for the highway amounted to 60 million euros.

Future

In the future we with the realization of the detours of the Fier and Vlora find their northern and southern continuation of the A2. The plans for the bypass of Fier have now been substantiated and on 18 March 2013, the contracts were signed. The cost of the bypass would amount to 39.8 million euros.
