Abbahu

Rabbi Abbahu was one of the most important amora of the so -called third generation ( about 290-320 AD) in Palestine.

He was one of the later pupils of Johanan and also students of Jose ben Hanina, studied with Rabbi Eleazar ben Resch Lakisch and Pedat. He was a school principal in Caesarea and connoisseur of Greek.

From him several controversies with Minim ( heretics ) have survived.
