Abbo of Auxerre

Abbo of Auxerre († 860) is a Catholic saint.

His father Antelmus emigrated from Bavaria, his mother was Frotilde Franconian Gâtinais. His predecessor in the office of bishop, Heribald, and lupus Servatus were his brothers.

Abbo was a monk in the monastery of Germanus in Auxerre (France), was elected abbot and bishop of Auxerre 857. Three years later he passed the office to live again as a monk.
