Abeid Karume

Sheikh Abeid Amani Karume ( born April 4, 1905 in Mwera, Zanzibar, † April 7, 1972 in Zanzibar Town ) was a sansibarischer politician and the first President of Zanzibar in 1964 From 1964 until his assassination in 1972, he was First Vice-President. of Tanzania.

Life

Karume was born according to own data in Mwera on Zanzibar, but this was frequently asked by political opponents in question.
