Across Five Aprils (band)

Across Five Aprils (often short A5A ) is an American metalcore band from Chattanooga, Tennessee, which was founded in 2001, separated in 2008 and since 2012 is active again. The original cast has been known since 2010 under the name A Tragedy in Progress as an independent band.

History

The band was founded in September 2001 by singer Steve Taylor, the guitarist Zak Towe and Jarrod Smith, bassist Jason Barry and drummer Drew Miller. The band gave their first songs online and download to and held local tours before the debut album A Tragedy was published in Progress on Indianola Records in May 2003. On the album Jason Fields was heard as the new singer before he left the band in the autumn of the same year. As a substitute Taylor returned to the band, who had previously taken over the management position for the group. It was followed by several appearances on the east coast of the United States, before the fall of 2004 the EP was followed by Living in the Moment. In spring 2005, Taylor decided to fully concentrate on his management company. so Brandon Mullins joined the band as the new singer. In July 2006, joined with the next album Collapse on. After the band had signed a contract with Victory Records, the band with producer Matt Goldman went into the studio to record the album Life Underwater, released in February 2008. Style
