Adam Beyer

Adam Beyer ( born May 15, 1976 in Stockholm ) is a techno DJ and producer from Sweden.

Life

As a teenager, Adam Beyer played drums. In 1990 he bought his first turntables and focused on laying and mixing records. His favorite styles were hip-hop, acid and techno.

1992 his friend Peter Benisch explained the operation of a sampler and a year later Beyer received the label Direct Drive from New York a first recording contract.

1995 Adam Beyer graduated from school and started to work for the record store "Planet Rhythm" (Stockholm). At the same time he published under a variety of pseudonyms on different labels and toured as a DJ in Scandinavia. In the same year he released the album " Drum Code 1", with which he discovered his own style and made ​​him known in the scene.

Drumcode was also the name of Beyer's first own record label. After six publications and increasing success Beyer called the sub-label Code Red to life. In 2002 he founded with True Soul Records another record label. This should represent mainly a platform for experimentation with influences from a wide range of musical directions. The focus is on the release of concept albums.

Beyer helped Stockholm to an important position within the techno scene. In Drumcode Techno greats such as Joel Mull and Cari Lekebusch are under contract. The team regularly tours by European clubs. The parties are announced as " Drumcode Night".
